So, if you want to have faith, you must hear (or read) God’s promises. Faith does not come by praying for it, fasting for it, or having someone lay hands on you to bestow it. It only comes from hearing God’s Word. And once you hear it, you still must make a decision to believe it.

Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

According to the bible, Christians, partake of Holy Communion in remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus that was broken and poured at the cross. Taking Holy Communion does not only remind us of his suffering but also shows us the amount of love Jesus had for us.

Besides being born again in Christ, Holy Communion is God’s ordained channel of healing and wholeness. He knew what He would accomplish through His sacrifice on the cross. Jesus wanted us conscious of how His body was broken so we could be made whole, and His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins.

Today I decided to bring together some encouraging and challenging verses talking about how and where we need to find strength in the midst of turbulent times. I hope you find them uplifting as well. Where Do We Find Strength?

Where do we find our strength? In the Lord our God!

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe. Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Seeking God’s guidance does not mean making a decision—asking for God’s blessing—and then taking steps in the direction of the decision that you have made. Seeking God’s guidance means praying, and making no decisions and taking no steps, until you have a clear word from God.

Christ Jesus Transforms Us to be Authentic: Improve Your Praying by Knowing the Names of God

The Bible itself is full of examples of the power of prayer, and Jesus himself demonstrates its importance. He frequently went away to pray, even when large crowds clamoured for his attention. As Luke 5:16 says, “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” Just because I’m not a natural prayer warrior does not mean I can skip it. If you want to be a Godly leader and make a positive difference in your family, community, and place of work, you need to pray.

Ephesians 1:18​-19 NIV I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength.

Description from Genesis to Revelation, God reveals His names so you can gain insight into who He is. God is called Elohim when revealing Himself as the all-powerful Creator. In times of sickness, He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord your healer.

Jesus Christ Makes A Difference All of the drawbacks described in verses 11 and 12 implied that Paul’s Gentile readers had been far from God. In this verse, Paul notes that everything has changed with Jesus. These believers had been “far off,” but now they had been “brought near.” Their relationship and proximity had changed all because of Christ. As mentioned in prior verses, this change has absolutely nothing to do with human worth, or human effort (Ephesians 2:8–9). It is purely due to the grace of God.

Emphasis is also made regarding the “blood of Christ.” Paul mentions this phrase only one other time in 1 Corinthians 10:16, in relation to communion. However, Hebrews includes the phrase in 9:14, noting the blood of Christ can “purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.” First Peter 1:19​ adds that the precious blood of Christ is “like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” Christ’s blood is perfect to remove the flaws which have separated us from God, and makes us acceptable to Him.
