Be Courageous What does the Bible say about courage? In scripture, courage is also referred to as “good cheer” which means boldness and confidence. God commands us to fear not, to be of good cheer, and to have courage in our life. Sometimes we doubt our own strength and conviction but can turn to scripture for the encouragement to live in good cheer and trust in God.
* 2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.
* 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
